TNI Corporation on April 20 inaugurated a TNI King Coffee processing factory in Nam Tan Uyen Industrial Park in Vietnam’s southern province of Binh Duong. The event was attended by Le Hoang Diep Thao – General Director of TNI Corporation, departmental and sectorial representatives, international trade commissioners in Vietnam and hundreds of global distributors of TNI Corporation. This is the sixth factory of its kind in Vietnam whose construction was partly attributable to CEO Le Hoang Diep Thao. It belongs to the chain of leading coffee production factories in Asia.
5 months is what it took since the decision to build the factory until today’s inauguration, which according to TNI Corporation demonstrates the commitment to bring Vietnamese coffee to the world. The factory on a total area of 51,300m2 was constructed into 2 phases. The first phase was completed with one coffee roasting workshop and one instant coffee production workshop. The second stage is planned to start construction of coffee extraction workshop on 20 April.
The factory’s workshops all use closed production line based on European advanced technologies, helping to ensure standards and quality of the global market, production safety and environmental friendliness. Once put into operations, the coffee processing facility could annually turn out 9,000 tons of roasted coffee beans and 19,800 tons of instant coffee, generating jobs for between 200 and 500 local residents.

Addressing the inauguration of TNI King Coffee Factory, Le Hoang Diep Thao said emotionally “In over-20-year pursuit of taking Vietnamese coffee to the world, we made joint efforts to develop the sixth coffee factory in Vietnam with its products to be exported to more than 88 countries worldwide. TNI King Coffee Factory is of crucial role has we have overcome tremendous difficulties with sweat and tears. I for all of you and you for me, together we overcame the most difficult time and the way we sailed through the storm to get to the joyful shore illustrates our courage, spirit, strong will, consistency and solidarity”.
Diep Thao said, the factory offered King Coffee products made from coffee beans of optimum quality. During production and finalization, the factory will gradually define the best food safety and meet global toughest standards. “It is such a big desire! With its vision and dominant implementation capacities, TNI Corporation has become a pioneer in the coffee industry. All is about a coffee!” she said.

The Vietnam Coffee and Cocoa Association (VICOFA) reported, Vietnam’s coffee exports have recently risen strongly, however, due to unstable export prices and Vietnam’s exports of mainly raw coffee, the revenues from shipping coffee abroad are low. Vietnam’s coffee industry, therefore, is trying to increase export income and the domestic consumption of finely processed coffee to over US$1 billion which is targeted to account to 25 percent of the total production value of coffee processing industry by 2030.
With regard of this, the birth of TNI King Coffee factory expected to supply the global market with hundreds of tons of coffee products every year; this means Vietnamese coffee will make their way into large supermarkets worldwide, helping to raise value of the local coffee and bring Vietnamese coffee to the world. Thao asserted “Vietnam is world’s second biggest coffee exporter and most global coffee products are made from Vietnamese coffee beans. We are now moving on to develop King Coffee – the biggest coffee brand in Vietnam to win over the international market: King Coffee for King markets! Global market!”.

In South Korea, King Coffee is available for sale on more than 300 e-commerce websites. Since April 2017, Korean consumers can purchase King Coffee in 40 Kim’s Club supermarkets and the product is planned to be sold in all other supermarkets across South Korea.
In the U.S., King Coffee is present in many Vietnamese-run supermarkets in Houston, South California and San Jose to meet demands of overseas Vietnamese residents who want to enjoy the flavor of the homeland coffee. In the coming time, King Coffee will be taken to supermarkets of 99, 168, Thuan Phat etc.
